Bad Cell phone service - i-phone

Really bad service from AT&T center in Scarsdale, N.Y. I have been to the telephone store a few times and it seems that the people are not looking to help customers with simple to solve problems.
I recently went into it to get help with my i-phone that was dropped into water; they wouldn't even attempt to look at it, instead sending me to Apple Care. I had to resort to a stand in the Mall by run by some third party who took the phone apart and dried it out and it now works fine. AT&T wanted to sell me a new one.
